🍴 INSTRUCTIONS
AIR FRYER - STEP BY STEP
Defrost peas, then dry them with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
Place them in a bowl and mix together with olive oil, garlic powder and salt.
Pour peas into the air fryer basket and cook on 180C / 350F for approximately 15 minutes. You’ll need to shake the basket every few minutes to ensure even cooking and check in on your peas regularly. They’re ready when they are nice and crispy.
OVEN - STEP BY STEP
Preheat the oven to 180C / 350F. Defrost peas, then dry them with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel. Place them in a bowl and mix together with olive oil, garlic powder and salt. Pour peas onto a baking tray lined with foil, spread out into a single layer and bake for 20 minutes, or until the peas crispy and golden. You’ll want to give the baking tray a good shake every few minutes to ensure even cooking - the peas on the outside of the tray will cook faster.
💭 TOP TIPS
Make sure the peas are fully defrosted and as dry as possible before cooking. If you want to fast track the defrosting process, simply run some warm water over the peas. Whether you’re using the oven or air fryer method, you’ll need to regularly shake the basket or baking tray while cooking to ensure the peas cook evenly and nothing burns. Exact cooking times can vary, so keep a close eye when cooking your first batch to find the perfect time for you. The peas are done when they are crispy and golden. I love to use garlic powder to add flavour to the peas, but feel free to play around with your favourite spice blend instead.Feel free to double or triple the recipe for a crowd. Just be mindful that you’ll need to cook in batches / on different sheet pans if you find there’s more than a single layer.Store leftovers in an airtight jar or container for a few days.
